whimsycatcher: Here’s a super rough harpy!Ariel!Colin that I drew quite a while ago, and have just convinced myself to post as is (I gotta learn to stop refining everything). I sketched this right after those rehearsal photos came out, hence the shaggy hairdo, and then added the pink after his actual costume was revealed. I’ll admit that I wasn’t too fond of Ariel’s design - not just because of how conservative it was! Well, I did find a few elements interesting; the massive skull he wears, for example. I’d like to incorporate that into another version of this… some day. (MY ART TAG)

We are the generation of nostalgia. We grew up in the age of transition. From hand-written letters to electronic mails. From film to digital. We were fascinated by new things, neglecting the way we spend our afternoons. Cupcakes and tea. Play-Doh and Polly Pockets. Young and naive. Technology completely changed the way we waited and we grew up too fast. The simple things in life seems more meaningful now. We grew up in the age of transition and have become the generation of nostalgia.
